Featured resorts

Menorca is an island of two halves. The northern and southern areas have very different geographies created by the different types of rock that created the island in the first place which started around 400 million years ago.

Northen Menorca

The northern part of the island is home to Fornells - an old fishing village which attracts many tourists and is renowned for many excellent fish restaurants. It is a very pretty harbour and well worth visiting. The north of Menorca is largely protected and wild with craggy bays and mainly pebbly or rocky inlets and coves, very pretty and best explored by yacht or boat. Inland from the coast is stunning untouched countryside and is the best part of the island for cycling, horse riding, exploring, hiking and golf amongst other activities.

Southern Menorca

The south of the island is beautiful sandy beach territory with an incredible amount of them, basically take your pick. It's hard to not be imppressed by the beaches here, many of which are 'blue flag' due to their pristine waters, lifeguards and services. Some are also remote and wild and absolutely picture postcard. In the South East of the island you have the modern day capital of Mahon or Mao in Catalan. Mahon is a bustling city with lots see and to do with lovely architecture, a cool fish market and many good restaurants, bars and cafés. The old capital, Ciutadella, sits on the south west coast and is very pretty with an old harbour and has a great culinary scene! For beaches, Cala en Porter, Cala Galdana and Cala Torqueta are among the best but to be honest, they all seem pretty special!
