Santa Brigida is located in the northeastern part of the island of Gran Canaria, 13 km from the capital city of Las Palmas. Santa Brigida a municipality and small mountain town built around its parish church of Santa Brigida. It has a diverse and dramatic landscape, a wild terrain of lush green and palm trees. A few km from town you will find Bandama Caldera, a volcanic crater which offers spectacular views of the surrounding area and beyond. The town itself is picturesque with many fine examples of traditional architecture.

San Nicolas de Tolentino has many wonderful, interesting places to explore like Cueva de los Frailes, a set of 37 caves or Atalaya de Santa Brigida cave houses where handcrafted pottery is made in the traditional way. Santa Brigida's weekend market is a highlight with many locals selling local cheeses, jam, breads and honey. Located in the centre of town is also Casa del Vino - wine house, where you can sample all of Gran Canaria's own wines.
