Marcana holidays, Istria Holiday rentals - villas & holiday homes to rent in Marcana

Marcana is a pretty town on the Istrian peninsular only 14 kms from the Istrian capital Pula which is a great city to visit and explore. Marcana itself is a lovely place to stay if you wish to get away from the crowds and have a peaceful & tranquil holiday yet close enough to the coast with all its wonderful beaches, coves and watersports going on.

The village of Marcana in the south east of Istria is 3000 years old and is a rustic destination with lots of history and Croatian culture yet it is also on the The Pula Riviera as it is known and has plenty of beaches to choose from with the best located in Punta Verudela, Banjole, Fazana and Premantura. However, if you want to be surrounded by pristine natural beauty, head to Fažana and take the 20 minute ferry ride to the Brijuni Islands. This is a group of 14 small islands separated from the west coast of the Istrian peninsula by the narrow Fažana Strait. The islands have been designated a national park and it is packed with white sany beaches, woods and 200 dinosaur footprints!
