By plane

The main airport servicing the region is Pisa with most of the frequent budget carrier flights operating from the main European cities.

By train

Lucca has its own train station with the main connections from Pisa taking just 20 minutes. The town is also on the main line connecting Florence with the seaside resort of Viareggio.

By car

Driving from Florence on the All motorway, you need to exit at "Lucca Est" which is just 1km from the centre.

Driving from the South via Pisa, the fastest route is to take the National Road no. 12 and exit at either Abetone and Brennero.
