How to get to Lloret de Mar

By plane and airport transfer

The best airports to fly in to are either Girona or Barcelona with Barcelona having the advantage of many international and low budget airlines flying there. Transfers from the airport can be pre-booked at one of the airport transfer companies or there is public transport via bus. Transfers will take around 30 minutes from Girona or around 1 hour from Barcelona.

By Car

Driving your own car or hiring one is the best option if you intend exploring the other wonderful coastal resorts and villages along the Costa Brava. Whichever direction you are coming from, the drive to LLoret de Mar is straight forward. There are 3 entry points ...

  • Coming from the south, the C-32 coastal motorway connects Barcelona to Blanes and the last 12 kilometers to Lloret are along the N-II and G-682 roads
  • Coming from the north (France) on the AP7 motorway, take exit 9 (Lloret de Mar)
  • Coming from the north-east, there are 12 km from Tossa to Lloret along the G-680 road

By Train

Lloret de Mar does not have any direct train conections so the options are Girona or the main line intercity trains that run between Bareclona and France.

To get to Barcelona train station, you need to take a bus to Blanes station and then take the “rodalies” coast line train to Barcelona which takes 1 hour and 20 minutes.
