Banjole is a pretty little fishing town with natural harbour on a small penninsular in Istria. Banjole offers a peaceful environment right on the sea with loads of well shaded gravel and pebble beaches in little bays all around this penninsular. The place is surrounded by pine forests that go all the way down to the beach and coast which is very attractive but also on a practical level provides loads of natural shade. Due to its favourable seaside location, Banjole is great for watersports such as sailing and is great fun for the whole family. For the younger generation looking for a lively scene in the evening you have Pula and Medulin not far away.

Banjole is lovely and in an idyllic setting however there are also lots of great places to go and explore on this penninsula and its many attractions including Pula with its lively central square and selection of stunning beaches to choose from with the best located in Punta Verudela, Fazana and Premantura. However, if you want to be surrounded by pristine natural beauty, head to Fažana and take the 20 minute ferry ride to the Brijuni Islands. This is a group of 14 small islands separated from the west coast of the Istrian peninsula by the narrow Fažana Strait. The islands have been designated a national park and it is packed with white sany beaches, woods and 200 dinosaur footprints!
