Mykonos is part of the Cyclades chain of islands in the Aegean Sea and is one of the busiest destinations in Greece thanks to its photogenic whitewashed town, many beautiful beaches, and world-famous nightlife. Parties revolve around its chilled-out and stylish beach bars and a few discrete clubs tucked away in the hills.
There are around 15,000 permanent residents on the island, but during the busy summer months, this can increase up to 50,000. What’s more, there are only 40 or so taxis operating on the entire island! So getting around is either by bus or you will need to hire a car.
