Holidays in the Algarve In our holiday home in the middle of the historic town centre of Silves, you can experience everyday Portuguese life in a centuries-old town, which rises with its castle on the banks of the Arade between hills and orange groves. We modernised the town house from 1857 in 2017/18, creating a symbiosis of traditional materials and modern lifestyle. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms have state-of-the-art air conditioning, which can also be used for heating on cold days. The roof terrace, which rises above the rooftops of the city, is particularly beautiful. The light of the sunrises and sunsets and the typical "Algarve scent" of figs, oranges and strawberry trees - mixed with the salt of the fresh Atlantic air - are unforgettable. From here, far away from the tourist centres, you can explore the wonderful different landscapes, towns and beaches of the Algarve (the nearest beach can be reached in 10 minutes by car). The use of organic cleaning agents and detergents means that allergy sufferers also feel comfortable in the house, allergy hoover available. Pets are not allowed, no smoking in the house, no parties. Washing machine, bed linen and towels are available. Travel guide Algarve Baedeker in German in the house. Free WLAN, Smart TV with German channels. Parking possible directly in front of the house (public road).

CURRENT
The guests of our house are without exception friendly, open-minded and relaxation-seeking couples from a shared household. There is at least one day between lettings - usually several days. In addition to the thorough cleaning, a disinfection checklist is carried out and the house is thoroughly aired. We attach great importance to cleanliness and your satisfaction and look forward to your visit. Safe + Clean!

Please understand that we have to charge additional costs for exceptionally high electricity consumption.

P.P.S. Every year in August a large, spectacular medieval festival takes place in the old town of Silves, the "Feira Medieval de Silves". With this festival, the town commemorates its impressive history in the region. Please research the date of the event on the internet. The old town centre is closed to traffic during this time!

The house is located in a small alley in the centre of the historic old town of Silves. Cars rarely drive here. From the roof terrace you have a marvellous view over the town. By the way: Our friendly and helpful landlady lives in the immediate neighbourhood. She speaks English.
