Orgnana is situated in an elevated position at the beginning of Gambarogno above the picturesque village of Magadino. The property is easily accessible by car in summer and winter. The idyllic surroundings and the numerous leisure activities in the immediate vicinity will make your stay an unforgettable experience.
From here, many leisure activities are literally at your feet. Swimming, sailing, fishing, hiking, biking, but also sport flying, parachuting, go-karting, golf in Ascona or Losone. We recommend the grotto "La Baita" within walking distance and the many fine restaurants with fish specialities in Gambarogno and Locarnese. The Coop Centre in Ternero and the various shopping centres in St. Antonino are ideal for shopping.
The area is internationally renowned for the Locarno Film Festival, Moon & Stars, Jazz Ascona and Maggia Valley, the Gambarogno Botanical Gardens. Other highlights include the Falconeria, the sweet chocolate museum, the Monte Tamaro leisure park and the defiant castles of Bellinzona (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Visit the Alp Transit construction of the century, which, once completed, will take you from Zurich to Bellinzona by SBB in a record-breaking 1 1⁄2 hours. Location description: Magadino/Orgnana is the first tourist resort at the beginning of the Riviera del Gambarogno, with wonderful views of Lake Maggiore and the Magadino plain. The Gambarogno, with its endless chestnut forests, is a popular hiking and biking area with a network of trails covering around 200 kilometres and within walking distance of the "La Baita" grotto, which was awarded 1st place in the "Best of Swiss Gastro" category in 2015 (www.grottolabaita.ch).
